City of Dallas Green Building Plan Reviews and Inspections: Residential and Commercial, Phase I and II
Phase II, City of Dallas Green Building Program went into effect on October 1, 2013. The City has made significant changes to the requirements for review and inspection:
COMMERCIAL - Select one of four paths for compliance:
- Chapter 61 Dallas Green Construction Code, 2012 IgCC, with amendments
- LEED 2009 - Achieve minimum 40 points, no prerequisites are required
- ASHRAE 189.1 - Meet minimum requirements
- Present an equivalent path to the City for approval by the Chief Code Official
RESIDENTIAL - Select one of five paths for compliance:
- Dallas Residential Green Code prescriptive requirements
- LEED for Homes 2008 - Achieve minimum 45 points, no prerequisites are required
- ICC-700 2008 - Achieve 222 points
- Green Built Texas v3 - Meet mandatory provisions
- Present an equivalent path to the City for approval by the Chief Code Official
