City of Dallas Green Building Plan Reviews and Inspections: Residential and Commercial, Phase I and II

Phase II, City of Dallas Green Building Program went into effect on October 1, 2013.  The City has made significant changes to the requirements for review and inspection:

      COMMERCIAL - Select one of four paths for compliance:

  • Chapter 61 Dallas Green Construction Code, 2012 IgCC, with amendments
  • LEED 2009 - Achieve minimum 40 points, no prerequisites are required
  • ASHRAE 189.1 - Meet minimum requirements
  • Present an equivalent path to the City for approval by the Chief Code Official

      RESIDENTIAL - Select one of five paths for compliance:

  • Dallas Residential Green Code prescriptive requirements
  • LEED for Homes 2008 - Achieve minimum 45 points, no prerequisites are required
  • ICC-700 2008 - Achieve 222 points
  • Green Built Texas v3 - Meet mandatory provisions
  • Present an equivalent path to the City for approval by the Chief Code Official
